What Is Cauda Equina Syndrome

Cauda Equina Syndrome is a group of nerves in your spinal cord which become compressed for any one of a number of reasons. This can include accidents, a tumour compressing the Cauda Equina or surgical errors. The compression of the Cauda Equina causes lower back pain, numbness in the perineal area or legs and poor reflexes in the lower limbs. The symptoms must be treated urgently to reduce the risks of complications, and it is this failure that often leads to a claim against the NHS.

What Are Your Legal Rights If The NHS Fail To Diagnose Cauda Equina Syndrome?
